Bed and breakfast with character in Lille

Constructed in 1907, on the site of a Clarisses convent, this beautiful Northern France style bourgeois house is part of a five house architectural complex in an opulent block of Western Lille. If weather permits, you can have breakfast in the small enclosed garden, under the shadow of the Notre Dame de Reconciliation chapel, the most ancient known sanctuary of Lille and a historical monument.

When entering the house, you will be surprised by its depth, its beautiful high ceilings, authentic woodwork and its large stairway to the rooms. Under the staircase you can enjoy a book in a cozy reading space. Breakfast is served in a room with a glass roof. We were charmed by authenticity of the high molded ceiling, the wooden floor, and the chimney piece topped by a big mirror. Big glass doors in an Art Nouveau style give access to the garden where you can admire all year round the pretty tamed exotic birds in the big outer aviary.
